How we're different

We focus on adapting swimming lessons to learning preferences

Not everyone learns the same way and lessons need to be adapted to handle that difference. Whether you learn best by hearing, seeing, or being hands on we've got you covered.

Important Resident Information

Our schedule for the summer of 2021 is fairly simple. Unfortunately, our lessons will not be held at your complex. Instead they will be held at the Evergreen Apartments one complex over at the following dates and times…

Wednesday June 16th from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Wednesday June 23rd from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Wednesday June 30th from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Wednesday July 7th from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Wednesday July 14th from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Wednesday July 21st from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Wednesday July 28th from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Wednesday August 4th from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Wednesday August 11th from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM

Wednesday August 18th from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM

Wednesday August 25th from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM

Wednesday September 1st from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM

If you need to reschedule or cancel your lessons please provide us with 24 hours notice beforehand for a full refund or ability to reschedule. For all cancellations within 24 hours we need to pay our instructors.

Your swim lessons are subsidized by the your community for your use. As such, you receive a total of 60% off of our services and are only responsibly for your copay which is approximately 40%. For more pricing information scroll to the bottom of this page.

 

At the time of scheduling we will email you an invoice which needs to be paid within 24 hours. If you fail to pay the invoice, we will need to remove you from the schedule and provide your spot to another resident. This is to insure all residents who would like a spot can receive one.

Swim Lesson Curriculum

Each age bracket has general goals however every student is different and learns differently therefore we set goals instead of a strict curriculum. Group lessons can also delay or slowdown progress significantly.

After 18 private lessons the student should be able to…..

  1. Putting their face in the water and possibly hold their breathe
  2. Possibly complete assisted dives and retrieve toys
  3. Be able to float with assistance or on their own.

After 12 to 18 private lessons the student should be able to…..

  1. Put their face in the water, hold their breathe, and put their head under
  2. Be able to dive with assistance and retrieve toys in shallow depths
  3. Be able to float with assistance or on their own
  4. Show basic understanding of the crawl and freestyle kicking
  5. Be able to jump in the pool, turn around, and return to the wall

After 12 to 18 private lessons the student should be able to…..

  1. Hold their breathe underwater and be able to show rotary breathing
  2. Dive into shallow or medium depths on their own and retrieve toys
  3. Float on their own
  4. Be able to swim the crawl and kick properly
  5. Be able to jump in the pool, turn around, and return to the wall from anywhere in the pool
  6. Understand the basics of all 4 strokes and be able to swim them in short distances

After 12 to 18 private lessons the student should be able to….

  1. Hold their breathe underwater and be able to show rotary breathing
  2. Dive into shallow or medium depths on their own and retrieve objects
  3. Float on their own
  4. Be able to swim the crawl and kick properly
  5. Be able to jump in the pool, turn around, and return to the wall from anywhere in the pool
  6. Understand the basics of all 4 strokes and be able to swim them in short distances
  7. Be able to dive standing or kneeling
  8. Understand basic pool safety rules
  9. Grasp the basics of treading
